The Aquarium
The
Seattle Aquarium is located adjacent to the ocean from which
many of it's resident creatures are drawn. There is everything
here from river otters, to octopi, sharks, and even shore birds.
There is an extensive section mimicking the local tidal pools,
where a variety of tidal pool creatures can be seen and even
touched. the big draw, and core are the aquariums themselves,
including a huge concrete framed tank that makes the visitor
feel like he is underwater. Admission is reasonable, and for the
locals, memberships are available. |
