The Harbor Tour
Seattle harbor is a huge busy place. There are naval and Coast
Guard facilities here, as well as an extensive line of cargo
docks. Seattle is the nearest port, of any size, to Japan, and
one of the closest ports to China. Much of what comes into the
United States, as imports from these countries, comes through
Seattle. In addition, there is significant pleasure boating
here, and a number of yacht clubs, marinas, and docks serve the
casual seaman. |
